St. John's Episcopal Church tickets & upcoming events

Looking for a spot that’s got history, heart, and a little bit of everything? St. John's Episcopal Church in Portsmouth is one of those places that just sticks with you. It’s been around since the early 1800s, and you can really feel the stories in the walls. The community outreach is pretty impressive too, since 1985, they’ve hosted a regional hunger relief event every november, which honestly feels like a tradition now. And get this, the church’s bell, cast in the late 19th century, was actually rung at the end of World War II to celebrate Portsmouth’s victory, talk about a piece of living history. There’s also this cool elevated viewing area you can reach via vintage stairs, offering a unique peek over the neighborhood, perfect for catching sunset views or just soaking in the vibe. The open-air space often turns into a lively spot for social gatherings, concerts, or even casual hangouts. And if you’re into live music or events, they’ve got a pretty laid-back scene with drinks, good tunes, and a friendly crowd. Plus, their ticketing page makes it easy to find options that fit any budget, whether you’re after front-row Candlelight seats or just looking for something fun and affordable. Honestly, whether you’re a history buff or just in town for a good time, St. John’s is worth checking out, there’s always something happening, and it’s got that charming, slightly imperfect vibe that makes you feel right at home.
